A reviewer checks the source and tier. Reviewers with a conflict recuse.

For data: checked against the cited edition or image.

For hypotheses: accurately recorded. Never marked “verified”.

A good submission includes

  • A primary witness or published reference, with edition, museum number, manuscript siglum, or DOI.
  • The exact form as written, in its own script, plus transliteration.
  • Date and place, as ranges where uncertain, with the basis for the date.
  • The evidence tier you claim, and why.
  • What the evidence cannot show.
  • Any affiliation or interest relevant to the topic.
